How to install javascript editor for eclipse?

I have standard Eclipse running on Ubuntu 14.10:

Eclipse Standard/SDK Version: Luna Service Release 2 (4.4.2) Build id: 20150219-0600
  • I was looking for javascript in the market. But nothing jumped to my eye.
  • I searched the javascript editor eclipse on the Internet, which gave me JSDT ( https://eclipse.org/webtools/jsdt/ ) But I could not find it in the market.
  • I realized that JSDT are counted within the WDT (web tool platform; https://eclipse.org/webtools/ ).

It seems that I lack basic knowledge about the eclipse.

  • How can I install JSDT without all the other WTP elements?
  • When I want to use WTP , do I need a separate installation of Eclipse? (since WTP also not on the market)
  • Is there a JavaScript editor plugin that I can simply add to my existing Eclipse installation?

You can install all or part of Eclipse WTP in your current Eclipse.

To install only JSDT, go to "Help> Install New Software ...".

In the "Work with" section, select the Eclipse main site ( http://download.eclipse.org/releases/luna for Eclipse Luna).

Expand the "Web, XML, Java EE, and OSGi Enterprise Development" section and select "JavaScript Development Tools"

Click "Next"> to continue the installation.
