Use Firefox localStorage inspector to edit cookies?

I am performing a security analysis of my website and want to see how the modified session data will affect my code. I can use the Firefox Vault Ownership tab (in the developer tools menu) to view the cookie that I want to change, but I cannot edit it. Does Firefox provide this out of the box or do I need a plugin?

This is not possible in the inventory inspector with Firefox 38.

It is planned to implement this function: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1031192

You can use the toolbar:

  • Press Shift + F2
  • Enter cookie list , press return
  • Enter cookie remove PHPSESSID , press return
