Getting MobileVLCKit to work through Cocoapods

I'm struggling to get VLC to work in my iOS app for a while. Using Cocoapods, MobileVLCKit is imported into my project. When I run the application now, it compiles without problems. However, when I turn on something from MobileVLCKit ( MobileVLCKit.h , VLCMediaPlayer.h ), the application crashes, telling me that no characters were found. This is an accident:

When I installed VLC via cocoa pods, I received this warning:

The `iOSCamApp [Release]` target overrides the `OTHER_LDFLAGS` build setting defined in `../Pods/Target Support Files/Pods-iOSCamApp/Pods-iOSCamApp.release.xcconfig'. This can lead to problems with the CocoaPods installation - Use the `$(inherited)` flag, or - Remove the build settings from the target.

When I add the $(inherited) flag and try to build, I get the following crash:

Does anyone know what to do? I tried so many things and nothing helps. Autocomplete can read VLC stuff and autofill it for me in Xcode, so the structure should be fine.

Undefined symbols for arm64 architecture:

It seems to be a problem. You are compiling for a simulator, and apparently MobileVLCKit is not compiling for it. ld is the linker that complains about this. Did you try to run it on the device?

Check which architectures of your project and MobileVLCKit are active.
