Non-ascii character icon in Sublime Text 2

I have been using Sublime for several months with great pleasure until yesterday, when something was damaged and I had to reinstall.

Since I thought I had all the packages I used, I did not save the backup and completely uninstalled / reinstalled the application and the application support folder.

One of the features that I really liked was that if I pasted a copy from another source, such as Word, all characters, such as curly quotes, etc., would be highlighted in hot pink.

This no longer works, and I believe that it was the package I installed and did not understand it. This saves a lot of time if you need to convert text to HTML content.

Does anyone know which package or how to return this behavior to ST2?

I've been all over Google and can't figure out how this works. My mistake is that you selected my settings / packages.

I think the package you are using is Highlighter . He highlights several Unicode characters in this hot pink that you talked about. You can add more matches using the settings ( example ).

I recently wrote a plugin dedicated to this exact problem: highlighting characters other than ascii. https://github.com/TuureKaunisto/highlight-dodgy-chars

The plugin works on the principle of "white list": all non-ascii characters that are not added to white lists are highlighted.
