Why the Recipient Recognition action of the recipient cannot approve / reject in Docusign

I'm new to Docusign and ask one question about tag visibility for Recipient Actions

For example, if I have a recipient as a "Signer", I can set the tags in the document.

however, if I have a recipient as an “Acknowledge Recipient”, I cannot set any tags.

The reason is because I want to establish a user who confirms the document and approves / rejects the submitted document.

Is there a way to include tags for another type of Action, and also should I save these recipients as a "Signer"?

Appreciate your help.

Recipient with type = "Acknowledgment of receipt" cannot have any tags. Using this type of recipient in an Envelope workflow means that the recipient designated as Type = "Acknowledge Receipt" must open / view the envelope before the envelope is redirected to the next recipient in the Envelope workflow (or go to the "Completed" state if AR receiver is the final recipient in the workflow).

If you want the recipient to approve / reject the envelope using the buttons in the document, you must use the recipient Type = "Signer" and add the Approve tag and Decline for this recipient. (Unlike how this may sound, the Recipient's “Signer” type in DocuSign simply means that the recipient has one or more tags assigned to them in the envelope — they should not actually be a “signing” document, unless of course one or several of their tags are SignHere tags.)
