My app receives a very high percentage of in-app purchases due to "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store" in the released version of the app

I added the application to the application and everything works fine when I tested it in the sandbox. The app is currently in production and users are successfully shopping for apps, as I can see the data in the sales report on iTunes Connect. In my application, I track when a user starts a process to purchase an application, and then if it was successful or not. In 72% of cases, when a user launches the application, he does not work with the error "Unable to connect to the iTunes Store." In my application there are enough users shopping that this is not due to a small set of samples (i.e., of the 4 users who made the IAP, it failed). Despite the fact that I have a decent number of users who successfully make purchases, 72% seems very high with the error: "I can’t connect to the iTunes Store."

Does anyone know what might cause this production error? Is there something I'm doing wrong in my application, or can I give error messages to users so that they know what is going on? When I looked for a stack overflow for this question, I found a lot of messages about this error in the sandbox or something happened with every purchase, but I did not find messages about when this happens sometimes during production.

This error occurs when the user initiates and then cancels the purchase.

Because the text in NSLocalizedDescription NSError not very useful, I display my own error message instead.
