Web audio API does not play sound

Question

I am trying to enter the web audio API as I want to do some visualizations based on the music that plays. However, all the examples I found are how the sound is muted. It plays the file but no sound.

Even after that - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBHpSkGZtNM gives the same result.

I am on a mac using the latest version of Chrome (42.0.2311.90), also tried on the latest Firefox, and this is the same problem.

This is a cross-connect access issue in createMediaElementSource, which landed in Chrome 42. You need to configure the appropriate headers for the ogg files and set the crossOrigin attribute. Otherwise, you will not get any sound.
