Installing the gfortran compiler on centos 6

I am trying to install some compilers. I am using Centos 6 on my laptop. I installed gcc, the compiler "GNU" C. I also need to install gfortran, but when I type yum install gfortran , I get the message no package gfortran available .

Do you know how I can install the fortran compiler?

Try yum install gcc-gfortran

You can use yum search gfortran to browse related packages
