Moving Android Studio projects and configurations from Windows 7 to OS X

I am currently running Android Studio on XPS 17 with Windows 7. I want to get a MacBook Pro running OS X Yosemite.

Can I transfer my Android Studio projects from Windows to OS X without the risk of losing my projects and is there any way to do this? Is it possible to save my current configurations by transferring the configuration file from my Windows version of Android Studio, or will you need to manually reconfigure it?

Is there anything else I need to know before I make the switch? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can easily switch, I often use Linux / Windows / OS X Yosemite for the same project.

Just open Android Studio and click "Open an existing Android Studio project" and point to your project.

To configure, you can go to File> Export Settings (in Android Studio for Windows), then to Android Studio for Mac> Import Settings.
