Failed to install MySql on CentOS 7

Why does this have anything to do with mariadb? I had a new installation of CentOS 7 and you wanted to install the MySql community version. It seems I should install the Mariadb server first?

CentOS 7 - Maria DB is already installed. because of this, you are facing a problem. {MariaDB is a compatible MySQL implementation}. If you want to install Mysql, you must first delete the existing existing Mari DB.

Step 1: completely remove Maria DB i.e. yum -y remove mariadb-libs

Step 2: Install MySQL

  i. wget http://dev.mysql.com/get/mysql57-community-release-el7-7.noarch.rpm ii. yum localinstall mysql57-community-release-el7-7.noarch.rpm iii. yum repolist enabled | grep "mysql.*-community.*" iv. yum install mysql-community-server v. yum-config-manager --disable mysql57-community vi. yum-config-manager --enable mysql56-community viii. service mysqld start ix. service mysqld status x. mysql --version xi. mysql -u root -p
