Is Mongoose better than the waterline in a Sails application?

I am developing a sails.js application. In my previous sails application, I used MySQL with the default ORM line. I plan to use Mongodb in my new application. I came across waterline restrictions, one of which is an association request. My current application is logically intensive and has a lot of statistics. Is it safe to continue the waterline or replace it with Mongoose?

The water line is improving and supporting many features that were not available recently. Since both have association support now, either of them will be good for this task. The only advantage of Waterline is that if the project is based on Sails, using it would be much easier.

Github has an example for the Mongoose ORM Hook , which should make it easier to disable Waterline and other related hooks and that allows you to use Mongoose as an ORM in your applications.
