Is there a shortcut for commenting multiple lines in matlab. If not, can I create it?

Comment out the shortcut CTRL + R on Windows and CTRL + / on Unix systems (not sure about OS X). To comment on multiple lines, you need to select them with the mouse or SHIFT .

In any case, this can be configured using "Settings" → "Keyboard" → "Shortcuts".
