Setting PHPStorm: how to remove background color in embedded html?

I find this "code highlighting" very annoying. Can someone show me how to disable it on PHPStrom, and possibly explain why this is happening?

Here is an image of my Js / JQuery code in the PHPStorm IDE: enter image description here

In WebStorm settings go to Editor » Color & Fonts » General select Injected language fragment from the list and disable Background chackbox.

It is hard to answer why this is happening) - this is just preference. Perhaps someone prefers to see the entered code (code in a language other than the main one used in this file), clearly marked. For me, this is also a distraction, I just disconnected it from your question;)

This is Language Injection in action.

You cannot disable it - ATM language injections in JavaScript cannot be disabled .

But you can remove / change the background color in Settings (Preferences on Mac) | Editor | Colors & Fonts | General Settings (Preferences on Mac) | Editor | Colors & Fonts | General Settings (Preferences on Mac) | Editor | Colors & Fonts | General
