Automator does not work with Google Chrome

Question

I try to use automomator to control my user interface and Google Chrome, but after recording my actions (watch me) and then replaying, I get the error message: "Chrome application does not work when expected."

Chrome definitely works, as I just used it to record machine actions. I'm just wondering how I can use Automator with Google Chrome :)

I had a similar problem, here is what I did to “apparently” solve it. Perhaps you can try.

• Record your action as usual.
• In the Watch Me window, click and hold an action, then drag it under the Watch Me box.

This converts the action to AppleScript, which is then automated for me.
