Amazon Redshift Stuck 99% During Resize Operation

I waited several hours for my cluster of red keys to fill the size. He was stuck 99% complete with 0 time and 0 data remaining for 2 hours. A quick search on the Internet and on the forum shows that this is quite common. All threads do not have any permission details except what the AWS PM user asks the user.

This is a cross-talk in the AWS Discussion Forums.

I personally contacted AWS support (in the attic of SF Market Street).

It turns out that copying the last 1% of the data when resizing can take from 80 to 90% of the time. In this case, the first 99% of the data was copied in 1 hour. The rest of the resizing took another 10 hours. Unfortunately, neither the documentation, nor the progress indicator, nor the indicators remaining in time reflect this.

Your objection may vary.

I'm sorry about your resizing experience.

We are aware of a problem with showing showing 99% for a long time, and we are working to provide our customers with the best messaging progress on resizing.

I would also like to know why it took 2 hours to complete the resizing process. Would you mind contacting me at marceta@amazon.com with a lot of data so that we can fix this problem?
