One click preview of PhpStorm like Sublime Text

At my new job, I need to work with PhpStorm. I came from Sublime Text, and what bothers me the most about PhpStorm is the lack of one file preview. Instead, it opens the files for editing and adds them to the active tab, leaving me with A LOT of useless tabs.

I searched here on StackOverflow and Google, but I seem to be the only one who annoys this. In Sublime, it goes into edit mode only after a double click. Is there a setup or plugin to have this as in Sublime?

One click to open file

By default, to open a file in phpstorm, you must double-click on it. I find it very annoying. Fortunately, you can change this with one click.

Stages:

  1. Click the gear icon.

  2. Make sure the "Autoscroll to source" checkbox is selected.

  3. Make sure "Autoscroll from Sourcce" is checked

There is currently no such functionality. I can only suggest using View | Quick Definition View | Quick Definition to preview files.

The closest thing you will get right now is to enable "Scroll To Source", however it will actually open the file in a different tab, it will not be viewed.

Open the Project panel, Favorites, etc. (cmd + 1 or ctrl + 1)
Click the gear in the upper right corner JetBrains Sidebar Sidebar Settings
Select "Scroll to source"

Note
You can enable “Scroll to source” in the same way as “Scroll from source”, just make sure you click on one file that you wait until the sidebar reaches another click, otherwise the sidebar will automatically scroll between them. You need to click one of them to break this loop.
