How to remove Php Dependecny Manager composer from the system?

It says that Uninstall cannot continue because the following applications use files that need to be removed.

I had the same problem and here is the solution.

  • This is mainly due to the choice of the shell menu during installation. composer installing

  • after selecting a shell menu option, you can easily access the composer by right-clicking shell menu

  • this occurs, the error "cannot continue because the following applications use the files that need to be deleted. Windows Explorer" when uninstalling.

  • to fix this type of problem, the window key + r and enter regedit and Ctrl + f to search and enter the composer and delete all files related to the composer.

  • and delete the system path if the problem still exists

For Windows on your local computer, to remove the composer, simply go to the programmer’s files and delete the composer's settings folder if there are still files that cannot be deleted, then go back to the control panel and delete the composer.

I also ran into a problem, my solution is like:

1. Open the task manager 2. End a task called `Windows Explorer` from process tab. 3. Retry to uninstall 

And then I could complete the removal process.
