How to set breakpoint inside Atom package?

I am trying to understand why this atom package https://github.com/AtomLinter/linter-elixirc/ does not work correctly. Its author said that I have to set a breakpoint in some function of the package to see what happens there. I do not know how to do this when starting an atom.

Here is the comment I'm talking about: https://github.com/AtomLinter/linter-elixirc/issues/63#issuecomment-214916262

When you are in Atom, pressing Ctrl+Alt+I (or View → Developer → Toggle Developer Tools) will open the developer tools. If you know Chrome dev tools, it looks the same. Then just go to the sources, find your package and set breakpoints. From the menu, go to view mode → Developer → reload (or Alt + Ctrl + R ) to restart it, so the program can get to these breakpoints.
