IntelliJ Perfect shortcuts with a non-American keyboard

My Mac keyboard is Portuguese. Although this is QWERTY, many characters are in different places (namely, Shift-some number). In Eclipse, if a shortcut includes a character, which itself is a combination of keys (for example, "/", that is, Shift-7), I can, for example, Command-shift-7 comment on a piece of code.

However, this does not work in IDEA. To go back, the key combination is the [command, but to get the [[I need to press the / alt -8 option, and command-option-8 doesn't do the trick. Is there any option that I can enable to make it work?

IntelliJ has several pre-configured layouts. Perhaps you are not using the best for yourself or your keyboard. If you're used to working with eclipse, you might like the Eclipse key card.

In addition, you can create your own layout by copying the existing one and modifying it.

Map settings in the section "File" → "Settings" ... → "Keyboard"

Unfortunately, this is not possible without any attempt. I have a Swedish keyboard and I know that some of these users managed to help some German users. This is not a solution, as the IDEA keyboard menu instructions will be inconsistent; Commenting code will not be possible with cmd + /, as the keyboard settings will say, in practice it will be cmd + -. See IDEA-63779 and IDEA-165950 for more information. information.

1. Install the Bintray Downloader JB SDK on cmd + shift + “plugins” , and find “bintray”, select “Bintray Downloader JB SDK” and click “Install”.

2. cmd + shift + a and enter "bintray" .

3. In the drop-down list, select "jbsdk8u112b251_osx_x64.tar.gz" or later. You will find it next to the last on the list. Click Download, and then Install.

4. Allow IDEA to run .

5. Open the IntelliJ IDEA menu → About Intellij IDEA and check two things: (a) that the JRE is built ... 819 ... and that the JVM is “from JetBrains sro”.

6. Open help → Change user properties ... and create a new configuration, enter: com.jetbrains.use.old.keyevent.processing = true

7. Exit and restart .
