Why `git-svn` hangs in the` Found branch point: `

Starting a few days, my git-svn hangs at Found possible branch point: .../trunk => .../branches/foo, 8809 when I do git svn fetch .

The clone is already active in version 163671 . I had a freeze lately, so maybe something got stuck during git svn fetch when it froze and I had to restart my windows machine.

I tried to shift .git/svn/ to the side and let git svn recover, but it just rebuilds the trunk and some others, and then hangs in the same position again.

Does anyone have any ideas why he could hang there all of a sudden and how to recover, besides the new git svn clone, which will take a week or so. I would prefer if there is another way.

A fresh clone should not take weeks. You can always do a shallow git-svn clone (see -r Option) to speed things up. Or, if you have access to a Linux window, clone it and copy the repo to a Windows workstation. The git-svn clone is known to slowly win.
