Google Forms is very slow performance

Question

I have a Google form with which I work with some scripts executed using GAS in the background that load dropdown lists with a lot of information. The form itself is quite large, with about 16 partitions, and it loads and responds to scrolling up and down very slowly on several machines, including my desktop computer, which is a very powerful computer, so I don't think this is a machine-specific problem. Any tips to expedite this would be greatly appreciated, except for splitting the form into 2 forms or something similar to this.

You can temporarily switch to the old Google Form builder and see if this fixes the backlog. Keep in mind that this changes all themes for any living forms back to the old ones, so you may want to re-update after making changes to the one that gives you problems.
