I have a list of EditTexts in android layout. Each of them is tagged with a TextView, so no hint is required in portrait mode, and the hint will even be superfluous. However, in landscape mode, many people have a keyboard configured to full screen and hide the application until the keyboard is hidden and input is entered into the selected view:
This may be good if you have one EditText field for input, but if you have a list, no one remembers the six TextView shortcuts before going through the inputs.
How to set a tooltip that appears only if the keyboard is in ui extraction mode - be it in landscape or portrait orientation?
