LINK: fatal error LNK1181: cannot open the input file 'C: \ OpenSSL-Win64 \ lib \ libeay32.lib'

I have windows 7 - 64 bit with the final version of Visual Studio 2013. I run the npm install command and get below errors:

I tried to run the same project in the first version of IntelliJ, but getting the same error.

I had the same problem and the answer is to read the documentation.

OpenSSL (regular, not easy) in the same bitness as your Node.js installation. OpenSSL must be installed in a specific installation directory (C: \ OpenSSL-Win32 or C: \ OpenSSL-Win64) If you get an error: the specified module was not found., Copy libeay32.dll from the OpenSSL bin directory to this module bin directory or on Windows \ System32.

One problem with this is you need 1.0.2 (available here ). Version 1.1.0 does not have libea32.dll.

And sequentially, I encountered the following problems when installing ursa:

  • Node scam. I think this was not a real problem, but the recovery was successful after that.
  • compiler. I had VS2010express and again an error, but now when installing ursa MSBUILD : error MSB3428: Could not load the Visual C++ component "VCBuild.exe I tried some recipes , but only after installing VS2013express I succeeded and one more error
  • SSL Use Open-SSL 64 1.0.2

Just install the latest (but lower than 1.1) version of the Windows Installer for OpenSSL. direct links over the Internet are being violated. This is the official website download page: http://slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html
