Mac, trying to install the tomcat server on netbeans, continue to get the "Specified Folder" error The location of the server (Catalina Home) is "invalid".

I am trying to install a Tomcat server on NetBeans. I downloaded Tomcat files and put it.

But I get the error all the time: "The specified" Server Location "(Catalina Home) folder is not valid."

Why is this happening and how to solve it?

Please use Tomcat 8.x and try again. IMHO NetBeans does not currently support Tomcat 9, which is still under development and there is no release release.

Netbeans 8.2 supports Tomcat 9.

If you are using Netbeans 8.1, upgrade it to Netbeans 8.2
