What is the best way to develop a shopping site that others can use

I would like to create an e-commerce site where I could let others sell items such as pictures, videos, flash, etc. I want to be able to keep interest and pay the rest to the seller.

Is there anything available, DotNetNuke, etc. that would do this or help get it started. If not, what a good way to approach this in order to avoid the initial time and cost.

I would like to think that there will be some income that can be reinvested over time, so it can turn into something that can incur some value after some time.

I would look at Shopify if you want something with minimal development time, otherwise if you have a development budget, why not take a look at Spree .

You can use DotNetNuke or other similar structure if you have additional content that you need to include, except for purchases.

If you went with DotNetNuke, you could look at the Catalook store, which I believe supports the desired format for sale. This is not ideal, but it really works, after all, with little experience. Otherwise, the ASP.NET Storefront may have what you need, either in the DNN-based version or offline.
