SharePoint workflow remains “incomplete” despite completing all steps

Question

We have several workflows, all - Sharepoint workflows by default - approval / feedback, etc.

As soon as all actions are completed (and marked as such), the status of the document workflow will remain “In Progress”.

I found several references to this on the Internet, but no solutions.

Any help would be extremely helpful - thanks!

I deleted the library and recreated, and the problem disappeared.
