Is there a free / openource vbscript compiler?

I need to compile wmi vbscript for an executable file (to automate configuration on multiple computers). Any free vbscript compiler or any other suggestions?

One thing that I was particularly worried about was that you really have to trust the product that compiles the script. After all, what better way to embed a virus or worm than to offer a free compiler that compiles your VBScript into an unreadable executable.

Currently, the most famous open source vbscript client side is baleas2.

If you are talking about server side, for example, scripts, the list of options is very long: instant-asp (ib4j-tomcat, java), rbsp (realbasic-server-pages), pbsp (purebasic-server-pages), run-basic ( libertybasicscript) etc. with almost all fully developed vb commercial alternatives.

Regarding the basic Windows-based open source, the basicwebscripting area currently includes maven-sb4j, scriptbasic, and gbs3 (gambas server pages). Then, server side pages may soon become another option in the future (after development to support curl and proxyserver / fastcgi).

You can also try using maven-sb4j for jbasic, jabaco, scriptbasic-japi and yabasic-japi.

OK, which is interesting, I think, and I fully understand your point of view.

you can use WSH Encoder here (Windows Script Host), it is free you can encrypt your scripts and thus no you can read them (just not curious!)

and if you are looking for strong and time-consuming work and encryption, you can try this book here

Try vbs for exe. This is a command line, but works great. http://www.f2ko.de/programs.php?lang=en&pid=v2e
