How can you get g ++ / gcc version for version 4.2 for Windows?

How can you get the latest version, i.e. 4.2+, g ++ / gcc for Windows? The mingw g ++ standard is 3.4.5, which is 3 years old, released in November 2005. Mingw has version 4.2, but this is only at the Alpha stage. I cannot find a stable recent version of g ++ for Windows, of course, I have to skip something.

Twilight Dragon Media keep track of and regularly release releases of GCC that can be used for MinGW environments.

The current version is based on GCC 4.3.2.

Packages can be downloaded here . I started using the 4.3.2-TDM1 release in production after rigorous testing for two months. The only thing I hit is cross-DLL exceptions in C ++, but C ++ exceptions have been smashed in MinGW for ages, and most of our code doesn't use them anyway or at least doesn't use them across borders libraries.

A newer version appeared there (4.3.2-TDM2, missing for a couple of days). The release notes say that it "differs from the first only in two bug fixes - one related to temporary files, and one related to header paths. A new TDM / MinGW installer has recently been released." I have not tested it yet.

Edit: 4.3.3-TDM1 seems to be stable so far - there were no errors in pre-production use. After intensive testing, I can recommend 4.3.2-TDM2 for use in production.

Use Cygwin . A complete list of packages includes gcc4-g ++ and the latest version 4.3.2-1, which should suit your needs.

You can get the MinGW distribution that uses gcc 4.3.3 here - I played with it, but didn't use it in anger. It comes with boost support and several other useful libraries.
