Free Resources for DotNetNuke

Does anyone have quality resources for some of the free (or cheap) DotNetNuke skins? Most skin resources in the DotNetNuke ecosystem are expensive when you need a simple skin for a site that cannot turn any revenue.

There are about ten that have been converted from open source CSS templates available on DNN Creative , which are very high quality for free use. There are also some gems that can be found for free on Snowcovered , however keep in mind that some of them can be free.

Google's top result for “ free dnn skins ” will lead you to dnnskins.com , but most of them look pretty brutal.

It is relatively easy to convert an open source CSS template to a DotNetNuke wallet if you have some familiarity with HTML, CSS, and DotNetNuke trimming.

I own http://www.dnnskins.com and you know. These skins that you are talking about are a terrifying coronode, made by many novice developers who thought they were designers too! They are actually Programmer Skins - so you tell me your own kind - are the programmers of the world - terrible designers?

Although I agree that they are not so neat, I spent several months trying to keep them in different versions of DNN, and this turned out to be a problem.

We converted about 20 CSS-based skins to dnn and made them compatible.

While this is not perfect, this is the best I could collect based on my time and efforts and the actual help that I have to run on this site. It’s a little frustrating, to say the least, to read about people who interfere with something, and then do not even give constructive solutions.

Telling people that it's relatively easy to convert something if you have a friend doesn't really answer the question, does it?

I would like to have more free sites on dnn skins, but reality is a big job that costs thousands of dollars annually, and the motivation was to try and help the dnn community, but I see people like your cowgod they have no idea of ​​the work involved in creating, managing and providing for 75,000 or so hungry users.

DNN Creative CSS templates are cool, but they have issues with DotNetNuke 5.

For example, there is a built-in superuser detection in the Summer Breeze skin, which leads to an error. Even after removing the offensive code from the ascx skin, I had problems with the containers.

With DNN 4, everything works fine.

the best way is to go to the Portals / _default / skins / MinimalExtropy folder, just copy the folder and name it mySkin or whatever. There are .ascx files and a skin.css file, a .ascx file. I'm just like an html file with basic html knowledge, you can change the color schemes. Since this template uses the Holy Grail style (look on the Internet if you do not know), this should take into account all your changes. And voila, you have your own personal skin. This will be automatically displayed in the skins while it is in this folder. (Use File Explorer if you are using GoDaddy)
