How to get Intellisense (code completion) to work on VS.NET inside Parallels on Mac?

How do I get Intellisense to work in Visual Studio running inside Parallels on Mac?

On my PC, I press CTRL + Space to get Intellisense, but inside Parallels it looks like no key combination works; I thought maybe because Quicksilver or Spotlight used the same key combinations and could intercept, but it still doesn't work after I remade them to use F.

I know this has been several years already, but I will stick to what I found here if someone else finds it on a Google search.

I found that I had no problems until I changed my Mac Control and Command key, so I just need to use Control + C, Control + V to copy and paste.

As soon as I changed them to Control + Space, I would not work in Visual Studio until I switched to Parallels Preferences โ†’ Keyboard and unchecked the box "Enable Mac OS X keyboard shortcuts"

I assume that Cmd + Space or Ctrl + Space is a kind of shortcut to Mac OS X, and it was an override of what I was typing on my Windows machine.

Use Fn + Ctrl + Space instead of Ctrl + Space to get Intellisense in Visual Studio running inside Parallels Desktop on Mac

It should work fine. It has been a while since I used Parallels, but Iโ€™m sure itโ€™s possible to send the โ€œspecialโ€ MacOS keys to the virtual machine, and not to OSX - if you switch it, it should send everything to the virtual machine.

If you use it in Coherence mode, then the only thing I can think of is to change the keyboard display in Visual Studio (Tools, Options)

Woks is great for me with Parallels 3.0 on my MacBook Pro. I can click on a class, press Ctrl-Space and pop up Intellisense. It works both in Coherence modes and in Single Windows mode. Putting one character in spaces also causes it.
