Linking page title block to home page - best practices?

I use most, if not all of my sites, to have a page title (usually h1 on my pages) to link to my homepage.

Should it be connected on the first page, i.e. with the home page? I read that this should not be connected, but one thing I do when I go to the page for the first time is hovering over the headline to check the status bar to see if it will send me home.

What I ask is the best practices for this ... if the link to the cover page for the main page is for myself in the future for the user?

As long as I understand the logic of the page that is not binding itself, I personally think that the header block is a justifiable exception. Therefore, I think you should link it to the home page, even on the home page.

Watch sites like facebook - the facebook logo always refers to the home page.

This is a strong agreement, and I try to use it where it is practically possible.

A page that links to itself should never have links. According to research by Jacob Nielsen , this is a bad idea. Further reading is here (# 10) and here (also # 10 on this list).
