.NET fingerprint SDK

I am looking for a comparison of the fingerprint reader SDKs available for .NET (we use .Net 3.5). My requirements are 1. Associate more than one fingerprint with a person.
2. Save fingerprints. (Therefore, I do not need to change the database for my program.)
3. Work both in event mode and without an event. (Event mode: give a notification if someone swipes a finger over the reader; No event mode: I will activate the device in synchronous mode). 4. Must provide an API for user confirmation or user identification. (Confirmation API: I send the personโ€™s identifier / unique number and it confirms that it is the same person; API Identification: sdk sends the personโ€™s identifier after it views the person using the fingerprint)

I would also like to get a fingerprint reader comparison if anyone knows about one available on the Internet.

I hope that I understand.

Thanks,
Kishore.

If QFinger is too much, try [ http://www.grfinger.com/] .

GrFinger is a fairly simple SDK that does not require a server, etc. You can save the fingerprint, which it captures as byte [], in the form you choose. We saved them as VARBINARY (MAX) in SQL Server, but you can do whatever your situation requires.

I already worked with the Queaso SDK. There, the SDK supports the features you request. But you are better off contacting them for more details.

*** The product is called QFinger . You can also find a list of readers there ...

QFinger no longer exists just for updating.

Since you're looking for a fingerprint SDK comparison, here's where you can start. You can find the BioPlugin SDK from M2SYS. This SDK allows developers to quickly integrate multimodal biometric software with any Windows software or web application. It supports any SQL-compatible database, including MS SQL Server, Access, MySQL, Oracle 9i, DB2, Informix, etc.

Since you also want to get a comparison of fingerprint scanners, here are two that I can recommend:

  • USB M2-EasyScan โ„ข Fingerprint Reader. The M2-EasyScan โ„ข Fingerprint Reader is a rugged, ergonomic fingerprint reader that delivers consistent image quality and accurate results even in high throughput environments. It captures a high quality image and does not deteriorate with frequent use.

  • M2-EasyScan Pro โ„ข. This is most suitable for both large-scale and small-scale fingerprint recognition. Its thick, anti-slip coating on the scanning surface withstands long-term long-term use in any harsh environment without any difficulty. FBI certified to meet PIV-071006 image quality requirements for individual fingerprint readers, the scanner is built to capture images with one fingerprint from dry, wet, old, scars and hard to scan fingers for greater accuracy and reliability.

You can also use Google for fingerprint scanners, and you will get many options that you can choose from.
