Is it possible to write malware that runs on .NET?

I have heard about the security features within and BCL, but does this have anything to do with preventing malware from writing malware or preventing malware from running in the CLR? For example, is it possible to write a program in C # that makes harmful changes to the Windows folder?

Absolutely, especially if this application is provided with a high level of trust. This is what .NET trust levels do.

For more information, see Security Code Access on MSDN.

Sure. In the previous assignment, we created a window forms interface for several plc beckhoff controllers. On my colleagues, I managed to kill one of the window servers using WCF and incorrectly bad coding, or this could be the cause of errors.

This may be what you get to run the application with full rights.
