Spring: setting up a simple example PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer

Question

The solution to this is probably very simple, but I'm not sure what I am missing. Here is what I have, and PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer will not replace ${...} .

The following is the output when starting the test:

Configurer does not seem to replace property values ​​...

Perhaps try using ApplicationContext instead of BeanFactory ?

Instead of Resource res = File..... use below

 ApplicationContext ctx = new FileSystemXmlApplicationContext("conf/xml/context2.xml"); TestApp test = (TestApp) ctx.getBean("testApp"); test.print(); 

You will get the result.

For Resource it will not read the property that we specified in the path.
