Where can I download the compiler for C # 4.0 without Visual Studio 2010?

I know for CTP VS 2010 Images, but can I download only the .NET Framework 4.0 compiler and C #?

AFAIK, VS 2010 CTP is only available as a VM image. I do not believe that Microsoft has released an installer for VS. One of them is definitely not available for the standalone CLR / SDK.

Funny, I'm trying to extract it from VHD when we talk.

As indicated, it is not available without VHD. The reason for this is (I suppose) because:

1) MS wants you to go through pre-installed tutorials on VHD to give design feedback.

2) MS does not want to perform the additional work necessary for the installer to work with all supported OS.
