Are there any SMTP services for HTTP (email for POST)?

I pointed to the smtp2web service again , but I tried it and it does not seem to work. Are there others there? Any way to achieve this in ruby?

I write an email and send it to lanceJpollard@smtp2web and immediately get this response:

Delivery for the following recipient failed:

 lanceJpollard@smtp2web.com

Permanent Failure Specifications: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipientโ€™s domain. We recommend contacting another email provider for more information about the cause of this error. Error returned by another server: 550 550 Unable to get the specified address (state 14).

Update

Duntadada: Sendgrid .

Set up MX subdomain recording on our server, we analyze incoming emails and send attachments and body content to your web forms. It is useful to have uploads@subdomain.yourdomain.com or interact with users via email.

You can write a small Google App Engine application that will receive an email and then send it to where you want to use urlfetch.

http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/python/mail/receivingmail.html

App Engine is free if you have a lot of traffic.

It supports Python or Java, but not Ruby.

I know this is a bit of an insert, but I designed http://cloudmailin.com to do just that. It is currently in beta, but the goal is to always have a free version.

I use "Zender", which is a free marketing and transactional email service. It provides two types of APIs for .NET and PHP developers, you can check it at this link: http://zender.sharptag.com
