Worthy KDE XML Viewer?

What is your selector XML selector from KDE? Something that formats XML decently. I searched around, but did not find anything reasonable.

I just open in Kate, if formatting is a problem, filter it through xmllint --format . Of course, I have an active filter plugin, so it’s right in the menu

depending on your system and if you want to highlight the syntax :)

For visual editing, use Congolemerate or Kxmleditor.

What do you mean by decent?

I don't work much with XML, but Firefox does some good work, which is what I need.

It just went the same way and didn’t find any good options for KDE.

But! Here are a few other options:

  • There are two Chrome browser extensions

    • XV (my favorite) found here: XV in the Chrome store. . It has a pre-collapsed view of the source (custom depth), as well as a schematic view and XPath query function.
    • myXMLia is here: myXMLia in the Chrome app store . It has a nice looking XML grid, as I assume some high-performance viewers have.
  • There is also a Windows tool (with an outdated debian package since 2008), a version of which works fine under wine. It includes a preliminary minimized source view, an XPath query function, an XML diff tool, and a nice XSLT transform tool, which is pretty cool.

A quick and general solution for viewing xmls cross-OS can be such a web application . It works in every browser (at least so say). You just copy and paste the xml and click Submit to display it as a tree.
