I have a client that has an old non-existent application; he had a problem with the company that made the request, and they will not disclose their database password. He realized that he had signed a contract (then), where he said that he was โwithdrawingโ the application, as it were, and they did not have the right to disclose anything. This client found out that he is not the only one with the same problem with this company. He, as a dentist, and other dentists with the same old application experienced the same problems when trying to buy new software and tried to transfer their patients to the new system.
In any case, he wants to open his small firebird database, so we can at least extract some data to our SQL servers. I tried using the default "master key" (which is essentially "masterke" due to the 8 char limit) is useless.
Now I know that he can follow the law and try to get the company to publish his information, but I want to do it as soon as possible. Does anyone know an application that can recycle / crack an outdated Firebird password?
Thanks.
EDIT: Outdated software "STOMA-W", I canโt even find it on the Internet. They are located in Asturias, Spain.
