Integration with Delphi 2007

I moved to Delphi 2007 in early 2008. It took me a long time to transfer all my tools and components, and I am in no hurry to repeat this again. I switched from Delphi 6. (I bought D2006, but did not use it much, due to migration).

The MSDN / F1 assistant "integration", though, keeps driving me nuts pretty regularly. I refer to the D6 help files and individual supplier help files as needed, but it is sure that it is not as useful as the old put-your-cursor-on-a method, press F1 -> You will get something useful from the old approach to help, especially when using all vendor files.

It seems like I can be late for the party, but apparently I was not alone in this opinion: http://blogs.embarcadero.com/deeelling/2007/08/21/38290

Now I see that Embarcadero allows you to download CHM files for Delphi 2007. Do they have any way to fully integrate them and completely get rid of this useless monster MSDN?

This does not answer your question (I look forward to hearing myself), but this tool does the default help a little faster. This way you can get useless results in a reasonable amount of time :)

Not that I know, sorry. I'm just really interested in how (and whether you need to solve this). Using Delphi 3/4/5/6/07/08/09, I have to admit that they did the wrong thing with the MSDN "monster" (as you call it) when they introduced it somewhere along the way. This was the only change that I definitely did not like.

Currently, you are probably better off (legally) โ€œgettingโ€ some PDF books, as you can search for them more easily than effectively than using Delphi. Good luck with the new Delphi! :)
