I often just call svn on Exec . So far, it has worked fine, but there may be reasons for not doing this.

Example (used to return AssemblyInfo files that are edited during automatic assembly):

<Exec Command="svn revert %(AssemblyVersionFile.RelativeDir)%(AssemblyVersionFile.Filename)%(AssemblyVersionFile.Extension)" />

Going further, we use MSBUILD with cruisecontrol.net, which has an SVN task. We have implemented continuous integration [automatic daily builds every night] using CC.net and receive email notifications of the results after the build has been completed. here cc.net website
