What is a good tutorial for designing policies based on C ++?

I just started reading Modern C ++ Design. Developing common development and design patterns , and I wonder if I need to go through a very simple tutorial on the political class design before I dive. Will everything I need in Chapter 1 follow her?

I am already familiar with using templates (STL / boost / Poco) and writing template classes / methods.

In my experience, this is an almost independent book if you know your way around C ++.
This is kind of a dumb question. Just plunge into the book, if something is unclear, take a look. Why ask questions about chaper 1 when you can just read it and find out?
