Is there a way to create a custom answering machine in android?

I would like to create an application that allows you to filter an incoming call to various response messages with:

  • "this number is unavailable" for telephone numbers with a black number
  • The official message for strangers
  • Informative message about what you do for friends

I do not know that you can automatically call, play a recorded message, and then wait for a response and record it. Or maybe there is only a way to interact with a real surveillance system, so I just need to connect.

Any hint is much appreciated. The human sacrifice for any piece of code :-)

You can install the Ultimate Voice Recorder, which can record your conversations (very useful when calling customer service). Since he can record it, he must have some way of accessing the conversation.

In addition, the opportunities that you must provide to the application are quite scary (translated from Dutch: full Internet access, intercepting outgoing calls, changing preferences, direct calling of phone numbers, recording audio / recording, updating contacts, automatic launch). It seems to me that there must be something there that can help you?

However, I do not think that it can embed audio in a stream. The symbian version had the ability to embed audio signals into a conversation, but I don't think it has an Android version.

I found out about this for using your Android phone or ISO, so far they have lagged behind symbian for decades and give way to an alternative, unfortunately, if you do not install a custom kernel / jailbreak, it is impossible to record incoming calls and screen them. "Ultimate Voice Record - Use your phone in speaker mode."
