Where to get UniObjects for .NET?

I hate the IBM site. It is very difficult to find something, not to mention trying to find it twice!

I am looking for UniObjects for .NET. I found the files below and installed them (I can’t find them now on the IBM website), however, when I go on to install the database add-ins for Visual Studio (v9.7), it says that the data provider is IBM Data Server for. Net is not installed.

I'm looking for someone to point me to the links and steps to install add-ins for Visual Studio and so that I can connect to the UniData database. Any other pointers, tips or tricks for working with .NET and UniData would also be greatly appreciated.

Here are the files that I installed to no avail. (I'm on a 64-bit machine with Windows XP)

  • ibm_data_server_client_winx64_V97.zip
  • ibm_data_server_driver_package_win64_EN_v97.exe
  • v9.5fp4_ntx64_dsdriver_EN.exe
  • v9.5fp4_ntx64_rtcl_EN.exe
  • ibm_database_addins_for_visualstudio_v97.exe

-Thanks

Update 2010-11-14: Recently, IBM sold UniData RocketSoftware. Information about UniObjects in RocketSoftware can be found at http://www.rocketsoftware.com/u2/middleware/

UniObjects.NET is part of UniDK on the Client Tools CD. Look for the directory called "uonet" after starting the installation. In addition, you must set the UniObjects assembly reference in your .NET project by looking at the DLLs in your project. After that, it comes to reading documents, etc. One thing that took me a while to figure out is that when specifying the account you want to connect to, you need to include the full path, starting with a slash. (Assuming you are on Unix - I have no experience with Unidata on Windows.) I am adding Unidata to my tags, so post additional questions here ...
