Standard Fields Between Controls and Standard Control Sizes

For example, Windows Forms Designer suggests placing my controls on the form as there are 12 pixels between the border of the form and the border of the control. It seems to me too much. Is this the standard cost? In addition, I understand that the height of the standard button should be 23 pixels. I'm right? Are there any documents confirming all this? And can I set these defaults in Visual Studio (for example, if you want the default between the control and form borders when the snap appears, 6 pixels instead of 12)?

You can always refer to the Windows User Guide . It comes with a handy table of recommended management sizes . However, the disadvantages of using pixel sizes.

I don't know how to manage binding management in Visual Studio. This seems to be impossible. You can set the grid size, but this will not affect the dynamic snap lines.

To change the snap settings, go to Tools> Options> Window Designer. There is a category called Layout Options that includes the GridSize option.

As for the standards, I see that they disappear with the advent of technologies that focus on user experience (WPF / Silverlight). Take a look at Expression Blend, for example. Not very standard, right? I think that providing an excellent user interface in every application is much more important than having a common GUI style for all applications.
