Xcode 3.1.3 - Organizer The device is not activated. Please activate it using iTunes

I recently upgraded my Xcode SDK to version 3.1.3 and iPhone OS to 3.0. It is important to note that everything was fine when I had OS version 2.2.1 on my iPhone. My iPhone Touch is not a jailbreak device, and I have a valid training profile in the organizer that is associated with my iPhone Touch, but it has a yellow circle next to it.

This is because the organizer displays ipod with version 3.0 (7A341) under the devices and then he reads (in the section where the provisioning profiles should be):

This device is not activated. Please activate it using iTunes.

When I go to xcode and build the application, it does it very well, and code writing is actually assigned to the correct preparation profile. But whenever I try to run it on the device, I get "No connected device for iPhone OS." This is due to the fact that the organizer continues to tell me to activate the device using iTunes.

I have iTunes version 8.2 and I have a device, and I can synchronize it just fine, however, it continues to display this message in Xcode. I tried to restore my ipod about 10 times, but I always get the same result, I also tried to disconnect the iphone Touch and the computer, but nothing helps.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem, but I have a version for ipod touch 2.2.1. It was used to connect to Xcode 3.1.2, then I upgraded to 3.1.3 and it does not work. I returned to 3.1.2 and it does not work. It works with Mac friends with 3.1.3, so something is wrong with my iMac. Firewall is disabled. It connects to iTunes in order and activates. It just does not appear in the organizer. Reboot does not work. I reset, and restored it, and it still does not connect. The fact that it connects to the Mac for friends, not mine, leads me to think that upgrading ipod to version 3.0 will not solve the problem.

Thanks to flycomputer, I was able to solve my problem with updating iphone os to 3.1.3. But I didn’t have to make a symbolic link to check if this was done on my own or not, before the lunch of the command:

 $ ln -s /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/3.1.2\ (7D11)/ /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/3.1.3

This usually means that your phone is not activated by your provider. Can you really make phone calls from your iPhone? Did you restore your phone through Xcode Organizer or iTunes?

Well, actually this is not a phone, but an iPod Touch. I tried to restore it using Xcode Organizer and iTunes with the same results.

This is not a mistake I get, but try restarting the iPod. Hold the sleep / wake button on top for several seconds. When he asks if you want to turn off the device, move the slider to turn it off. I usually wait a minute and turn it on again. It always works for me.

You are probably behind a firewall with anti-spyware protection. iTunes needs to connect to the network correctly (Apple, I think) in order to properly activate your device. Turn off the firewall, then launch iTunes, which worked for me.
