A platform for developing all google stuff?

I am interested in developing applications for google and android using python and java. I am new to both and wondered if the environment installed on windows or linux would be more complex for these tasks.

Google has tools for Eclipse for Android only and for Google Apps . As far as I know, they did not make any other tools.

Oh yes, so to answer your question, it doesn't really matter. Windows, Unix, or Mac is really valid (the people in our office use them all).

I would choose another vote for Eclipse. I use it on a Mac, and I find it very buggy. I'm not sure that this is only the nature of the beast ... My experience with him on XP was more stable. I did not have time to check it on Ubuntu.

Inside, I suppose Google uses Eclipse, which runs on Ubuntu for Android development, so this would be your best bet if you are completely paranoid in avoiding all potential issues. Of course, this is not possible, and in fact you just need to use what is convenient for you.
