C # Winforms PropertyGrid and ErrorProvider

I am working on the extension errorprovider for propertygrid and treeview controls. I found a very useful post: An example detailing how to add errorprovider to the grid property, and it works very well. My question is how did the author know that IPropertyValueUIService is an interface that uses the grid property to display an icon and a tooltip. I used Reflector to parse the gigrid property and IPropertyValueUIService, and I don't see any relationship.

This is for my own edification as a programmer, as well as in order to increase the errorprovider to a tree.

I guess partly from the documentation ?

Or from a reflector; find IPropertyValueUIService, press Ctrl + r and expand "Used" and you will see how it is used by PropertyGridInternal.PropertyDescriptorGridEntry .
