Links from search results from Google Custom Search do not work when viewed in IE6

One of the community sites I'm working on now has this issue when viewing search results from Google CS in IE6.

For example, these results . Trying to click on any result does not provoke the browser not to follow the link. Strange, however, a click shift or right-click and opening in a new window work.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Any ideas on how to fix this?

Here is a potential solution:

Replace the following line of code:

var a=encodeURIComponent||escape;

WITH

 var a=encodeURIComponent;

Or:

 var a=escape;

From this, the Google support thread .

Please note that these are fixed issues in a specific version of IE6 :

 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.080814-1233

I checked your page with IE6 examples:

 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234CO

And there were no problems downloading results or links to the result.

If the above does not help, make sure that the security setting for Navigation subframes in different domains is set to Enable . See this post for more details.

Hope this helps!
