Excel 2007 Visual Basic Editor: eats places, throws cursor around

I cannot solve this problem, I found a similar question here , but:

  • Setting up a workbook for manual calculation (alt-mxm or alt-to> formulas) does not work.
  • Setting editor options to disable: automatic syntax checking and background compilation do not work.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this very annoying behavior, I used to quickly pop up VBA (alt-f11), f7 to enter the code and write some quick procedures there ... and it's hard to break this habit I don't want to write any office extension to just add one quote to each cell of the range

For Each rg In Selection rg = chr(39) & rg.value Next

F5, done ...

I had this exact problem and it worked for me.

1.Click on the Microsoft Office Button and select Excel Options

2.Click add-on category

3. In the "Management" field, click "COM Add-ins" and click "Go."

4. Look at the add in 'Add Add Add' to uncheck

5.restart excel

This addon is installed with VS2010 Beta2

The Winword VBA IDE works fine, so it is only in Excel at the moment.

I tried reinstalling, I tried Excel> Resources> Diagnostic Tool, which reported that I fixed 1 question, but the problem remained.

Effectively, the Visual Basic Editor compiles every second (or less) and removes spaces.

The ugly job is to put a single quote after your cursor and it will not remove the spaces, but that is just plain stupid.

I am currently waiting for Office 2007 Enterprise to Change> Restore to finish and test it again, otherwise I will stick to a single quote.

I also got into this problem, and for me it was due to an Excel add-in that would explain why you don't see it in Word VBE. Try to enter the trust center and disable all add-ons of the application - if this fixes it, then you can decide what happens as a result of the elimination process. In my case, it was Add Test Report Addin, which is installed using VS2010 beta 2.

I am using excel 2010 and am facing a similar problem. When I press the spacebar, the editor removes the space and places the cursor at the end of the last character. I tried to uncheck the add-in checkbox without permission.

"In Excel 2010, the Design Mode button on the Developer Ribbon tab solves the problem for me."

Or in the vba editor, click the CLICK on Design Mode button (pencil icon) to enter development mode. From the Run menu, select Development Mode.

Got it at this link:

I recently had this problem with Excel 2010. Design switching mode did not work, and I did not have the "Load Test Report" add-in. However, I had a couple of other add-ons, and it was one of them (Jive for Office) that was causing the problem.

Therefore, in 2010, you should go to File> Options> Add-ons. At the bottom of the Manage dialog box, select COM Add-Ins and click Go. Look at what's there and deselect each one in turn. For me, the result was instantaneous - I didn't even have to restart Excel.
