Sybase ASE 15.x ODBC Driver for Windows 7 64bit

I have a problem with Sybase ASE ODBC drivers for working with the 64-bit version of Windows 7.

I have a 64-bit version for Sybase ASE 15.0.1. However, the installation is not performed. After selecting the “Custom” installation and selecting all the parameters necessary for the client, the Java-based installer simply disappears in the air when you click “NEXT”.

I also tried installing the 32-bit driver. This is installed perfectly, but the driver does not appear in the ODBC administrator.

Has anyone found a solution or suggested it? We are developing .NET tools against the Sybase backend and cannot make this work at present.

Have you tried using both different odbcad32? One is in% windir% \ syswow64 the other is in% windir% \ system32.

We had similar problems with Windows 7 64bit and odbc drivers that did not display. Using the odbcad32.exe file located in% windir% \ syswow64, the drivers showed ^ _ ^

The problem was solved by installing the 64-bit Sybase 15.0.3 client.

during installation, select a custom installation, there you will see an option for a 64-bit driver. A typical / complete installation installs only a 32-bit driver.
